Hi,
I am a born Berliner, mom of an almost-two-year-old (and pregnant with baby number two), passionate knitter, scholar, drinker of black tea, big sister, art aficionado, writer, grammar freak, movie goer, and lover of the cities of Stockholm and New York. I have studied English and Italian literature and am currently writing my PhD in contemporary American fiction.

I'm not going to list postcards I would like to receive, because I am interested in your choices; they will tell me a little bit more about who you are 😊 Opening the mailbox and finding your cards, that's my favorite motive.

Instead, I'll share my guilty pleasures with you, to break the ice 😉: the royal families of Europe, Gilmore Girls, listening to John Mayer, eating Nutella with a spoon, spending way too much time on Instagram, watching the Kardashians, and, yes, sometimes, when nobody's watching, I go to Starbucks and order overpriced hot chocolate.

Also, let me share things that I love: my son's giggle and his little hands and feet, tea, books (if you have a favorite book, I'd love to hear the title), notebooks of all kind, Berlin in the Fall, New York, having a favorite bookstore in every city, the sound of foreign languages, when ideas hit me, muesli, lillies, pie, guinea pigs, movies by Nora Ephron.

I am looking forward to receiving your postcards! I love good old mail, I really do, and am grateful for the time you take to write to me. We should all be kind to one another, and sending a total stranger a postcard to make them happy is a true act of kindness. Thanks in advance.
