I am Commodore Vijay Kapre, I had served the Indian Navy for a good 33 years. Ever since I hung my hat on that old peg on the wall, my wife and I have lived in New Delhi. We have two sons, both happily married, and four grandchildren.

I am an average book-worm. But mainly light stuff. I adore PG Wodehouse, John Masters, Richmal Crompton of William Fame, and Biggles by Capt WE Johns. The last two I still read avidly, even though they are from my school days. And I mustn't forget my comic heros, Roy Rogers, Lone Ranger and Tonto, Hopalong Cassidy, Tom Mix, Sancho Panza, Mandrake and of course the Super heroes Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. I liked them a tad better than Superman and Spiderman.

I collect stamps, First Day Covers and Miniature sheets of stamps.

As far as movies are concerned I like watching Westerns, mysteries by Agatha Christie, and I am convinced that the only actor who did justice to the role of James Bond was Sean Connery. But then, no other actor has the dash and elan as he did ;-)). But, my all time favourite is still "My Fair Lady". About western music - I liked/still like Bill Black's Combo, Elvis the Pelvis, Boney M and The Beatles.

It would be nice if you mentioned the place you are sending the card from and the date of posting. Because, sometimes the postmark or cancellation isn't too distinct. Thank you.

We all make mistakes, but there is always one that pinches one everday of ones life. I know mine. If you tell me the greatest mistake you have made in your life, I'll tell you mine when I am registering your card.

An abbreviation I have made for myself - ARYA. It stands for 'Always Remember Your Aim'.
