About Nina...

Hello everyone,

My name is Nina. I took a long break from Postcrossing and now I'm so excited to be back!

A little bit about me:
I'm a positive personality who loves life, people, traveling, tea, and hiking. I would describe myself as an adventurous, easy-going, and funny person. Recently, I became a dog mom to a cocker spaniel named Boris. Oh, and just to mention, I'm originally from Belarus but have been living in the United States for the past five years :)

Some random facts:
I went to a Coldplay concert twice last year.
I believe in kindness and boomerang law.
I go to my favorite local coffee shop three times a week & grab a pumpkin spice donut and Duchess Grey tea & stay there for hours.

My favorite themes for postcards:
- nature's wonders such as oceans, seas, lakes, cliffs, trees, vivid sunsets and sunrises, storms, lightning, blizzards, rain, etc.
- MOUNTAINS at any time of the season
- beautiful winter landscapes. I love snow!
- PEOPLE in any setting - I adore deep portraits too.
- Virpi Pekkala postcards
- city views, bridges
- castles
- people in national costumes
- black and white photos
- your interesting photo if you don't mind sharing
- handmade card
- I LOVE Christmas cards even when it's not a season

If you have an odd, unusual card, I would like to get it :)

If you don't have a card from my wishlist, don't worry. Send me something that inspires you. Surprise me! I like all received cards in my own way :)

One more thing:
Please, please, please don't just write "happy postcrossing." I love people's stories. I'm sure you have something to say. Tell me about your day, city, favorite holidays & traditions, movies & shows you've watched recently, beautiful places you visited, the most amazing concert you went to, your favorite spot in town, your warmest memory of this year so far... Recommend a good book or a Netflix show for me to check out! It really can be anything.

I like receiving cards without envelopes, but if you think that one is necessary, that's perfectly fine. Also, please write the date on the card. This will help me remember when I received it, even years from now.

To US senders:
Please share your favorite place(s) to travel to in the US. I'm desperate for recommendations for my vacation :)

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
I'm looking forward to your postcards!
