I love getting post cards from around the world and learning about uncommon places. I am a collector and dispenser of useless facts and a proud Minnesotan.
I like all types of postcards and anything that conveys local culture. I also like maps, flags, and other things that I can find on a map. Wherever you're from, I'd love to get a card that features your town.
I like churches of all kinds too. I live near the Cathedral of Saint Paul, the National Shrine of the Apostle Paul (on the shore of the Mississippi River). I would be interested in seeing other churches from around the world and learning about their patron saint.
I like beautiful scenery and stories about your home. If you live in a remote area (away from a big city that is) tell me what you do there and how people make their living. Or if you grew up there or have a relative there, tell me their stories.
If you are from Germany, I would love a card that features your prime minister, Angela Merkel! I have a ton of cards from Germany, but no famous Germans (yet)!
If you are from the Netherlands, I would LOVE a postcards featuring different part of the Delta Works (Deltawerken).
If you are from China, something from Western China or the Great Wall would be wonderful. Also, postcards of any of your leaders whether it's Mao or President Xi or anyone in between,
If you are from Russia, I'd love to get a postcard of your former leaders. I have Putin and Peter I, the children of Nicholas II, Khryshchev, Brezhnev, and Gorbechev. I'd like to fill in the gaps, so if you have Lenin, Stalin, or Yeltsin, please send me one!
