About Mark...
I am an American expat who has lived on Phuket Island in Thailand since December 2004. I teach English to a wide range of students -- including government school primary-level children. teenagers studying to take the IELTS or TOEIC exams, and staff members of local businesses.
In my free time, I enjoy reading (especially mysteries and history), photography, studying local history, collecting stamps from all over the world, as well as Postcrossing.
I've traveled extensively throughout Asia and North America as well as a few places in Europe. Whenever I travel, I always send postcards to myself.
I like all sorts of postcards. My favorites are those that show a view of your country and I especially like to see historical buildings, native clothing and dances, and archaeological ruins.
I love maps, flags, and postcards that show stamps.
I have a particular fondness for cards showing World Heritage sites.
I write about my Postcrossing cards on my blog: http://jochim.wordpress.com/category/philately/postcrossing/ .
