About Jenny...

Hello! My name is Jenny and I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, a hilly city along the banks of the Ohio River. I am a university journalism professor, and I love nature, wildlife and exploring the great outdoors. I also love writing and receiving handwritten letters, especially scenic postcards that show places around the world, which are so nostalgic and beautiful. I'm not too picky about what kind of postcards I like to receive, but my favorites are the classic “place” postcard photos, especially of beautiful landscapes and nature scenes. I also enjoy cards that show different wildlife from around the world. Mountains fascinate me, as do oceans, forests and fields. I could dreamily gaze at trees or clouds all day along.

I love to travel, and have been to 49 U.S. states (just not Hawaii...yet!) and have also been to Oaxaca, Mexico; the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica; the Guatemalan highlands; Havana, Cuba; Namibia, Africa; and have made several trips to beautiful Iceland. Participating in Postcrossing is another way to travel the world, and I love finding postcards in my mailbox from places near and far!

If you are sending me a postcard, I hope you don't mind writing a note on it, as part of the fun of Postcrossing is learning something about people from different cultures (even if it's just different regions of my own country). Please tell me the story behind the postcard, and if the place or subject has any special meaning to you personally. Or tell me anything interesting about the place where you live, or your interests, dreams, hobbies -- whatever you're passionate about. Or if you don't know what to write, perhaps you can answer these questions: What's the coolest place you've ever visited? Where do you most want to travel, and why? Happy Postcrossing!
