Generally, my favorite postcards feature artwork- especially illustrations, ethnic designs, retro graphics, abstract landscapes, and all kinds of folk art.

ads/invitations/reminders for local events or national celebrations are just fine but please... nothing too religious!

It is cool when the postcards have text in your native language. However, it would be much appreciated if you could include an English translation- especially if it does not use the Roman/Latin Alphabet.
