Hi! I live in the Washington DC area, where there are lots of fun things to do when I don't have to work. I love to read, bake, go on road trips, laugh, hang out with friends, quilt & crochet, play board & card games, visit museums, and grow flowers & tomatoes on my balcony. I love sci fi, stories about righting injustice and stories about strong women, and also those tear-at-your-heartstrings holiday movies. I love to travel and try to visit a beach at least once a year. I've been painting watercolors for more than 10 years, and sometimes I even paint postcards. I've always loved postcards and send them to my family & friends whenever I travel. I think they are perfect way to show someone you are thinking of them and give them a sense of where you are and who you are.

I have a collection of postcards from all over (blank ones I never sent and those I've received), and I'm trying to add to it all the time. I love postcards with pictures of the places they are sent from, but some of my favorites have drawings or artwork that my friends made for me (my very favorite is a picture of one friend's dinner at a restaurant done in crayon). I love artwork as well and I particularly love amazing skies (who knew the sky could be so many colors?). I'd prefer no ad cards, but homemade cards are fine. You never know what will make you smile!

Also if you could write a little something about you -- what you like to read? what is your favorite movie or tv show? what do you do for fun? what is something interesting or unique about where you live or about you? I would love anything like that!
