G'day! I'm an older gay man, now retired from work (librarian) and living in Sydney, Australia, on the traditional lands of the Gadigal and Bidjigal people of the Eora Nation.
I enjoy sending and receiving mail and in doing so learning about other cultures around the world. I love the surprise of not knowing what part of the world my next postcard is coming from (or going to). In fact, I have always had a keen interest in all things related to snail mail (stamps, postcards, postmarks, covers and so on).
I'm fascinated with genealogy and the use of DNA in researching family trees, so if you have a family history story to share, I'd love to read about it.
I'm also (re)learning Italian and Latin, so if you know either of those languages, feel free to write a few words.
Other interests include playing bridge, railways and tramways, museums, art galleries, history, classic movies, music and literature. I have an innate love of animals and nature.
I enjoy all kinds of postcards. I will appreciate any postcard you send me.
