About Lin...

Hi there,

食飽未(tsia̍h-pá--buē), or "Have you eaten?" is a typical greeting from the older generation in Taiwan. Even though now it may be less common among the younger generation, it's a symbol of the warmth of the Taiwanese.

My name is Nelson, an imaginative and curious boy. I've been living on a land like this for almost 20 years. My city, Taichung, is the second largest city in Taiwan in terms of population and famous for its food like sun cake and muâ-ínn (Jew's mallow). In school, my favorite subject is English while out of school, I enjoy reading and writing poems (most in Chinese, but I'm trying to expose myself to more English ones!). I don't know if people in your country really pay attention to poetry, but sadly it has been ignored here. But anyway for me it's a graceful thing worthy of my time!

Okay, now you've known a bit about me. If you still have no idea what to write and what kind of card to send, don't worry! You can write about yourself, your family, your hometown, etc. As for my preference for postcards, I tend not to define it. So of course you can choose one at random! If you like it, I believe I'll like it too!

Stay safe in the pandemic!
Nelson Lin
