About Helena...

Dear Postcrossing Friend !

I´m Helena from the western coast of Finland, from Rauma.I´m married and we have three adult children.

I work at the kindergarten(daycarecenter) and after many, many years there I still enjoy my working; children are so lovely!

My hobbies are my family, Nordic walking, skiing and ice swimming in winter, gardening, reading, watching movies (specially romantic and comical ones), going to the theaters, traveling, studying Estonian language and much more!

In my avatar you can see me in Tenerifa (Canary Islands) some years ago.

I´m interested in traveling and learning about foreign countries and other cultures. If it were possible, I would travel more, but as you know, life is... well, life!! Thanks for this amazing opportunity to travel around the world with your beautiful postcards!

My wishlist; I would like to receive specially postcards, where I can see:

First of all NATURE POSTCARDS
-Beautiful (colourful)landscapes and countryside views (mountains, oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, sunsets, flower-fields,national parks, winter views etc.)from your region or country

- Beautiful (colorful) places in your town/village/region or in your country (city views, famous/old buildings, castles, towers, bridges, lighthouses, monuments, night scenes, beaches, harbours etc.)
- UNESCO World Heritage sites
- Something, which is typical for your town/village/region or for your country (people with national costumes, for example dancers, local events, celebrations and festivals etc.)
- The Royals

It`s great if the name of the country/ place/city/village is written in front of the postcard!

By the way, my favourite color is blue..

For me, the text behind the card is also an important part of the postcard. I love to read your message almost as much as look at the beautiful and interesting picture! So, please write something about yourself, your interests, life etc.

I prefer postcards written and stamped with nice stamps without an envelope (please no ad cards, hand made cards).

Because I´ve always been interested in languages, I´m very delighted, if you write something in your national language with translation in English, thanks.
If French, German, Swedish or Estonian is your native language, you will make me happy, if you`ll write in it.

I hope to hear from You soon!

I wish all of you a lot of Happy Postcrossing Moments!!

With best regards, Helena
