Im am so excited to be part of this new community and I can't wait to see how many connections I make around the world
I currently live in Auckland, New Zealand having emigrated from the UK, 11 years ago. I was born in Middlesbrough a small industrial town in the North East of England. These are my roots and I feel connected to my hometown.
I am a physiotherapist and specialise in supporting students with complex needs. I am now in a leadership role as a Practice and Implementation Advisor for the Ministry of Education.
I love living in New Zealand, the country , the spectacular views, the culture, the freedom,it's a privilege to be able to contribute and receive from this beautiful land known as Aotearoa, the land of the long white cloud.
I have two amazing boys who have both had to overcome losing their dad to cancer and as a result they have become grounded young men who embrace life, one is travelling around Europe and one now lives in Melbourne. I'm one proud mam!
I love creative art and I want to follow my dream of going to art college and I hope to pursue that dream next year to complete a post graduate diploma in art therapy.
I enjoy completing half marathons and have run three and walked six and completed my first full marathon this year.
I love the NZ countryside and photographing the moment, music, drawing & painting, renovating furniture, mindfulness and yoga.
New Zealand allows me to be myself........
I love quotes and my favourites are one by Mother Teresa, "I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” and mindfulness- being in the moment as it is without judgement.
I would love to receive any type of postcards...just be yourself and share what is special to you or if you connect with anything I have shared...my mind is open to receive what will be shared with me.......
