About Gary...

I'm a Muscogee (Creek) Indian living in eastern Oklahoma. A lot of my postcards are picked up while on vacation so you are liable to get postcards from anywhere if I have extras left over or have just returned from an exciting journey somewhere.

I like older looking designs, i.e. 1940s-1960s, so I always grab any retro looking postcards when I see them along with the American Indian and Oklahoma themed cards I buy locally to send out.

I have no preferences as to cards that are sent to me. Send me something you would like to receive yourself and it will be well appreciated on this end. I think limiting senders with a list of favorites can often lead to missing out on a great card that I wouldn't have thought to include until after actually seeing it.

Please write something on the back of the card, either in your language or English if you want to practice your foreign language skills, as I am neither a card collector or stamp collector. It's the interaction with other people that I enjoy.

I've been sending postcards and letters out to people for years without any real hope of a return reply so it will be nice to get a few replies from other writers who like to exchange physical mail for a change.

As some are at a loss when they know nothing about the person they are writing to I will list a few of my interests just so I am not a complete unknown. I listen to old American radio shows, my favorite shows being comedy, and I seldom ever turn on the television anymore. I like hunting and being out in nature, reading old science fiction pulps, collected superhero comics as a child (Superman was my favorite). My wife and I usually visit the desert Southwest on vacation with special interest on the old tourist traps. We try to stay in historic motels when traveling (lots of neon always catches my eye) and we like traveling on Route 66 or other well known routes when we travel.

If you have a tourist area or some unique festival that you celebrate locally I would love to hear about it. Fairs and other social events that you attend would be great to hear about also. I also like learning about other tribes and indigenous peoples. I attend local Pow Wows, Gourd Dances and Stomps when I can and do a little bead work for relaxation now and then. I like American Indian themed cards as much as anyone else so if you're from Canada, Mexico, or some other US state with an Indian tribe I'd love to learn more about them. I'm not easily offended so don't sweat the small stuff, this is supposed to be fun and exciting hobby so don't stress over what you should send me.

I'm always on the lookout for new pen pals so if you are interested in trying to strike up a correspondence via your official postcard then feel free to include a return address and a note to that effect when you send your card. I'm afraid I may be jinxed as two pen pals just disappeared :)

I prefer my cards with a message and no envelope but that's just my preference, send them however you like.
