About Henning...

Hello world! I am Henning from Hong Kong.

Currently I work in the field of transport in my hometown. I am passionate about travelling and have been 98 countries (as at Jan 2019). Usually I spend my holiday to travel around about three to four times a year.

Since my graduation I spent three entire years to travel around the globe. I left my footprints in Latin America, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, the Sub-continent, the Middle East and North Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and Siberia. If you are from any of the aforesaid regions, I would definitely love to know your insights of living as a local.

After all I love all kinds of postcards and I believe how one chooses a card for his/her friend there is a story behind to be told. I look forward to hearing such interesting things so be liberal to choose and write. In case you have a variety of cards to choose from, you may take a look at the list below:

- Transportation
- Soviet / Communism propaganda
- Vintage
- Famous sights of your city
- National food / drink of your country
- Maps

I appreciate if you write your card with insightful ideas instead of copy-paste or computer-typed messages or, even worse, leaving the card blank or with a soulless message 'happy postcrossing'.

Thank you in advance for reading till this point and sending me postcards. Do not hesitate to let me know if you wish a return card and write me your address so I can respond to you.

You may have come across an expression to say Hello in Chinese as 'Ni Hao'. That is not the lingua franca in Hong Kong and we simply do not use this. A mere 'Hello' will do, or you may just use your own language which would be interesting to me. There is no need to add 'China' after 'Hong Kong' in the address line either, as Hong Kong is widely recognised by the international postal system. I can reassure you by writing 'Hong Kong' your card will safely arrive the air mail centre at our airport for further sorting processes locally. Addition of 'China' may lead to a detour to proper China and the card may not fly directly to Hong Kong.

Enjoy writing!
