I wish for the world: Peace in all countries and Freedom from oppression.
Compassion and Acceptance of differences are powerful tools for world harmony.
I also collect jokes, please write a joke, LOVE children's jokes, but naughty is ok.

My name is Heidi Barthelemy, I am in my late-fifties, the 4th and youngest daughter of a pair of interesting world-travelers, my 3 sisters live all around the world.

Most of the postcards I send are from documentary work my father and I photographed in Mexico, which are now in the collections of the Smithsonian Institute and various University Anthropology Archives. I hope you like them. You can see them through my 'sent postcards' list.

I live and work in California doing Renaissance Faires and assist for an actress part-time. My business partner is a sculptor - he makes hand carved bone jewelry: http://pale-moon.com

At Christmas, I do an event called The Great Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco. We built a temporary set of Victorian London neighborhoods and have a theatrical craft show for 5 weekends:
http://dickensfair.com Come visit the website and next year to London in San Francisco!

In Spring I do the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Southern California. We are celebrating over 50 years of this event. I have been involved in this marvelous event since 1981 with my business partner.

In June I do a one weekend Pirate Festival in Vallejo, Northern California.

In late August I help build a festival in the remote Nevada desert called Burning Man. It is a phenomenal week long event in which 62,000 people make ART happen and ultimately leave the desert cleaner than we found it. (I will be away for the last two weeks of August, but promise to register all cards received in my absence upon my return!)

The Northern California Renaissance Faire happens for 5 weekends in Sept/Oct.
A very special vendor/participant-owned Renaissance Faire.

I am part of a large, eclectic community of wonderfully foolish friends. We have a website of Fools:

I love interesting photos of all kinds, art and history.
There is not a card you would send that I will not like.
I appreciate creativity and humor.

Send a postcard YOU might find interesting/humorous, pretty postage stamps. Thank you for any and all the cards you might send.

Life is wonderful and worth sharing with the world!
Thanks for playing Postcrossing!
