My wife, son, and I are all enrolled members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in Arizona. Salt River has two tribes - the Pima and Maricopa. We are all from the Pima (Akimel O'odham to be precise) tribe. My dad was German however; hence, my very German name. He was born in Gdansk and raised in Köln. He came to the US in 1968.

My family and I live in southern Arizona where it can get pretty hot in the summer (40 degrees Celsius is not out of the question), but the other nine months of the year are wonderful (or close enough to it), and Arizona has cool mountains we sometimes retreat to.

We enjoy watching Phoenix Suns basketball and Arizona Diamondbacks baseball. We also enjoy movies, music, and hiking around the state. My son and I will also do some geocaching when we can.
