About Andrea...

Dear Postcrossing-friends :-)

Let me think what could be interesting for you to know about me...

I am a music teacher and give lessons at a music school and at the university. As you can see on the picture I play the flute, but also the piano.
(When I was younger I used to play the accordeon, the clarinet, the recorder and the saxophone, but only the first two instruments are the ones that I teach ;-) )

So I am interested in aaaaaaaaalllllllllllll about music. :-)
If you find a postcard with a nice illustration of animals / fairies /unicorns / moon / stars... playing music or special instruments of your country I would like to do an exhibition at our music school with it :-)
Maybe you have a favourite song with beautiful lyrics in your language and tell me the title and singer so that I can listen to it?

My hometown is a small village called Pr. Oldendorf in the north-west of Germany.
When you leave our garden you directly enter a forest,-it's a great place for people who love nature and going for walks. :-)
What is special about your area? What is the landscape like? Do you have special buildings, museums or landmarks?

I love travelling in general and getting to know the everyday-life of people from all over the world, getting to know different cultures and ways to see the world,
Maybe you have some legends, myths or tales from your area or country and would like to tell me one of it?

Another thing I really love is reading books.
In Germany we have very small books from the publishing house "Reclam", and they fit in every pocket. So I always carry at least one of these little books with me to read whenever there is a minute of free time :-)

Maybe you have a favourite quotation and can write it to me (and the translation as well)?
That is something I would really appreciate! :-)

One of my favourite ones is this:
"Be the change you want to see in the world". (M. Ghandi)

And I think, this is what we all do by sending our postcards: making the world a little more happy :-) We all can bring some sunshine to the hearts of the people whom we write to, by surprising them with a beautiful thought, a dream, by sending a little piece of our hearts and our dreams to another person and make him smile :-)

Wishing you all the best and HAPPY POSTCROSSING

Andrea :-)
