About Olesia...

Hi! My name is Olesya. I'm almost 30. I was born in Siberia. Many people think that bears are walking around the city there. I'll tell you a secret, I've never seen them :) I have been living in Germany since 2019. She is married and has two baby daughters.

Before moving to Germany, she worked as a guide in the city of Kaliningrad. I love history. I write short stories in the genre of small prose. She has released 2 collections of poems.

I love extreme sports. I can't live without the sky. Parachutes and paragliders are my love! I also love mountains. Most recently, the whole family conquered the Bavarian Alps. And I really like the sea. Especially in a storm. I can sit on the shore for hours.

In addition to active hobbies, I am a supporter of WWF, the author of the educational board game "Ecogeroi". My educational project "JOURNEY IN AN ENVELOPE" brought me to the postcrossing site. The main character is a polar bear made of felt, who travels around the world. Participants take photos against the background of sights or interesting monuments and talk about it. And also goes on expeditions. In May he visited the Arctic on the island of Svalbard, in winter he will go to Antarctica. To collect all the interesting places where Andre the bear happens, I created an Instagram account @vkonwerte_postcard.

I love giving more than receiving. Therefore, every year I hold a New Year's gift exchange "secret Santa", uniting people from all over the world! In adult life, we completely forget and stop believing in magic. And I, as a good Magician, help to believe again! By the way, I'm still writing letters to Santa.

I love envelopes more than just a postcard. After all, you can add so many nice little things to an envelope to a postcard.

From postcards I love cities, architecture, natural objects. And of course most of all I love New Year and Christmas.

Believe in miracles!
