Dear postcrossing friends,

my name is Günther and I live in a little town in the northwest of Germany, near the border to the Netherlands.

I'm 70+ and have worked about 40 years as teacher for mathematics and geography at a high school ( in Germany called Gymnasium ). Since February 2017 I am retired. To be teacher was a very good profession and I liked all the time to work with students and I'm missing them. But now I'm in another part of my life. I spend my free time with my family and friends and for activities, I hadn't time before. Especially I like to go by bicycle, daily near by my home, but also sometimes on long distance-tours somewhere in my region or in other parts of Germany or other countrys. Especially I'm interested in the history and actually of all kind of railroad.

I'm postcrosser since more than 8 years and I will say, I enjoy it very much. In this time I gather best experience by careful consideration of postcrossing members, who send postcards to me and tell about themselfes and their living on a place of this earth, where I will probable never come. Once again many thanks to all.

And I hope, that my sent postcards will enjoy you in the same way.

The reason, I like postcrossing:
Each card shows me something new: new pictures + new impressions + places, I've never known + new ideas + or anything else + above all: people like you an me +
and thats all over the world.

I noted in my profile that I am normally not interested in direct swaps. But sometimes I get interesting answers and comments about my cards or that, what I have written. Then I will answer with an additional e-mail.
Therefore I also I will like it when someone responds to what I have written. In the meantime I have found people all over the world with whom I regularly exchange ideas via e-mail.

And so I will look forward to your card. I will not say, that I like an especially kind of postcard.
I like exact that postcard, which you will send to me.
