About Ahmad...

From Cairo, living in Berlin with my family for a while.

I love postcards and stamps, as well as maps. I've been sending postcards to friends and family from every city I travelled to since 2003; that's a couple dozens. I used the postcards as my globally distributed travel diary.

Being both a philatelist and cybernaut, I had discovered soon after it came to being, but I'm just beginning to give it a try now, that I'm living in Germany.

For me, postcards are fixed with a postal stamp, franked in a post office somewhere in the world, and sent without an envelope; ones that made the journey.

Write whatever comes to your mind; the view from your window, your hobbies, your travel plans, or a secret.

My absolute favourite cards are those featuring monuments and landmarks where the sender has actually been to, posted at the nearest mailbox. I always try to do that when I travel.

I like all postcards, so send a card that you'd actually like to keep. If you'd like hints:
◉ cards you can only get in special occasions, venues, museums, etc
◉ scenes from daily life, street photography
◉ abandoned places, ruins, things that no longer exist.
◉ Maxi cards
◉ themes of travel and mail
◉ traditional arts, crafts, motifs, and calligraphy
◉ space/cosmos, as well as science fiction, retro-future and steampunk
◉ vintage cards; old ones from the flea market!
◉ vintage political propaganda
◉ natural formations and wildlife, macrophotography
◉ people in nature, naturism, and FKK related
◉ risqué, scandalous and artful nude
◉ artfully handcrafted cards, fixed with a stamp and posted without an envelope.

War is hateful.

Aus Deutschland würde ich Sandmann und künstlerisch Edgar Postkarten, Fotografien von Klaus Ender oder Gemälde von Heinrich Zille schätzen.

From Russia, I like the illustrations of folklore tales by Nikolai Kotschergin and Alexander Kurkin.

Just because this is the most relevant place to keep this record; before I started using PC, I had sent cards from:
