About Georine...

Hi there.
I live in Namibia, in the south western part of Africa.
Currently i am not working, but when i did, i was a teacher and school secretary for most of 20 years.

Our family consists of, my hubby, myself, two grown children, a son in Heaven, two dogs, a cat and a cockatoo.
We love traveling our country, camping when it is not too hot, or wet and stopping at historical sites on whatever holiday we happen to be having.

Namibia has the oldest desert in the world, which stretches for 2000km. The name Namib is of Nama origin and means "vast place

The sand seas near the coast, are now a UNESCO site, while gravel plains and scattered mountain outcrops occur further inland. The sand dunes, some of which are 300 metres, are the second largest in the world after the Badain Jaran Desert dunes in China.
Namibia is also home to the infamous Skeleton Coast, where many lies were lost and ships wrecked.

I love learning about other cultures, countries and all the variety of the human race. :)
Reading, painting, crafts, philately, numismatics and camping out in the wide open spaces of this amazing country, are some of the things i enjoy doing.

I look forward to exchanging written and stamped cards with a little interesting info from you. ( i really do not like receiving blank cards in envelopes, but happy to send to you, if this is what you prefer.)

ANY CARDS are welcome - except, please do not send free cards

Some ideas below, but please feel free to send whatever you have available.

i love and collect stamps too, therefore an extra treat is to receive a card with special, beautiful, unusual and fun shaped stamps attached to the card.

I have not taken the option of private swaps, simply because it can get too much, but if there is a card you would very much like to have, i will be happy to send it.
