About Bart...

Please tell me something about yourself on your postcard.

I read and write science fiction, fantasy, and other kinds of fiction. Much of the fantasy I like is set in real cities (_The Anubis Gates_ in 19th century London, or _Last Call_ in Las Vegas, both by Tim Powers). Tell me: What is beautiful, even magical or fantastic, about the city or country you live in?

I'm interested in history and folklore. When I travel, I try to go to historical museums or art museums, see interesting buildings, and try new foods (especially desserts). Tell me: is there a place you've never been, but would love to visit? Why?

I play the piano (blues, pop, gospel, jazz). I make candy, cakes, ice cream, and other desserts. I work as an engineer. What do you do to make a living, and what do you do because you love it?

Other things that matter to me: I'm an adult, but please don't send anything violent or obscene that you wouldn't want, say, a 13-year-old to see. I'd like to display the postcards in my workplace without causing problems with my co-workers.

Things that don't matter to me: handmade cards versus purchased cards versus free/advertising cards (just send what you find interesting). Inside an envelope versus outside an envelope (do whichever is easier or less expensive for you). Stamps are interesting, but I'm no expert, so whichever stamps you use will probably be interesting to me.

Sometimes I type the text printed on the back of the postcard by its manufacturer as a comment when I upload the postcard. For your privacy, I won't type in what you write.
