About Roberto...

Hallo folk,
this is Roberto (frantisek) from Italy!
I was born in the mediterranean and rather sunny South of my Country but I live and work in Milano, "far" North...
I joined Postcrossing's world more than eight years ago and now I guess I can consider myself as a "veteran" of this special project. Day by day, year after year, my tastes in matter of postcards have somehow "refined" and in some cases have completely changed.
Thanks to some of you I've "discovered" artists such as Inge Look, Rudolf Koivu, Marta Wendellin, Kaj Stenvall and Alexandr Averin so today I can say I've got a pretty good collection of cards reproducing these painter's works. If you want to help me to increase it, I would be really grateful...
-I do like a lot illustrations of any type and particularly [old] children book illustrations like: “Le Petit Prince”,” Alice in Wonderland”, russian novels or whatever tale is famous in your Country.
-As you might easily guess: Art is my biggest and deepest passion, along with travelling and knowing new people! That's the reason why I collect (only on paper, unfortunately!!!) works of artists such as: Raphael, Mucha, Erté, Barbier, while Art Nouveau/Déco is my favourite Art-style. Norman Rockwell, Carl Larsson and Anton Pieck to me are the last “real” genious in the graphic field, feel free to send one of their masterpices (again: not necessary a true one :-P ) if you wanna make my day!
-I like vintage (from ‘20es to ‘50es and not just "old", please!) postcards, both original and reprinted ones; in the years I’ve “developed” my interest for “Communist propaganda” cards as well: it’d be simply GREAT to get one of those “piece of paper” which perfectly depict a moment and a specifical geographic area!
-I recently started to collect Nouvelle Images (sets consisting in several elements), Lali Riddle and Jetoy postcards; if you find one by chance and decide to send it to me, I’d surely apreciate that sooooo much…
-Snoopy & the Peanuts by Charles Schultz are my favourite characters of all and by far but I also enjoy watching/reading japanese anime/manga; hence: feel free to send these subjects related cards too!
In the end: if you cannot find any of the above listed cards, don’t worry! It’s super-OK also to receive map-cards or single-viewed postcards showing the main symbols of the city/Country where you live: breatheleaving landscapes, monuments, buildings.
Only one request: please don't send animal pictures (my family members are definitely enough for me!!!).
