About Cathy...

As we enter another year I wanted to update all the fellow Postcrossers on my special request of cat postcards in 2023: I joyfully received 50+ !!! I have been so happy to see all the sweet cat faces and the character that showed through each of the postcards. Thank you so very much!

For many years I was a property manager for senior citizens. Some say I am “retired” now, but I am just enjoying the things and time I have dreamed of. My husband and I have been fortunate in the past few years to travel all over the United States and Canada. Being a Christian, and daily growing in God's grace and faith, we attend a small, country church nearby. I was raised in Texas as a military “brat,” and am especially fond of the southwest United States, but always love to learn more about the whole world (art, history, scenery, architecture....so surprise me with any postcards you wish to choose). Favorite things I look for when traveling are church steeples and stain glass windows, spiral staircases, hometown clocks, covered bridges, windmills and wind turbines, barns especially round ones, unique statues, art murals, waterfalls, flowering trees, and amazing city skylines. I love to attend holiday events, rowing and old multi-mast tall ships competitions, book sales, and try homemade foods in out-of-the-way eateries. My hobbies are reading, watching PBS/BBC detective series, old Cary Grant and Doris Day movies and musicals, cuddling adorable cats (we used to have dozens when we lived in the country), and of course traveling. I recently realized I have collected way too many Christmas ornaments, snowmen, bookmarks, key chains, photo albums, and refrigerator magnets. God bless each of you, and thanks for all the blessings your postcards give me.
