I am twice retired. First from the U.S. Army in 1988 after 20 years of service as an inventory specialist and then from the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2007 after 18 years of working in procurement. Currently I work part time in the procurement field and do some teaching on the subject.

While in the military, I lived in Germany for 10 years in the following locations. Stuttgart, 1971-74; Munich, 1976-79; Mannheim, 1982-84; Darmstadt, 1984-85; Nurnberg, 1985-87. I have also traveled extensively in Europe and the USA. I'm about 7 states short of having all 50.

My wife and I sold our house in 2023 and moved into an apartment in an independent-living community, which has been great as we now have lots of people to interact with and I can enjoy my favorite card game - Cribbage. There's always a jigsaw puzzle laid out to work on as well.

My hobbies include golf, reading (mostly mysteries), fishing and traveling. I also enjoy cooking and photography and I am hopelessly addicted to Sudoku puzzles. Additionally, my wife and I love to dance.
