About Tim...

Hello! My name is Tim and I'm currently 26 years old. After having lived in South Germany for five out of the past seven years and Tokyo for the other two, I've recently finished my Master's program and then moved back to my hometown in North Germany. I wrote my Master's thesis about Oda Eiichiro's manga "One Piece". Now I'm spending my time here until I find a job and can move on to my next place!

Cela me rendrait heureux. :)

I love music and even though I don't prefer a particular genre or language, I do have a soft spot for Japanese and French music. In French, I especially like Maître Gims, Indila and Stromae. In Japanese, most of my favorite artists belong to a loosley defined genre referred to as "City Pop" that was popular in the 70s and 80s in Japan. Some of my favorites from that time are Junko Yagami, Tatsuro Yamashita, Junko Ohashi or Toshiki Kadomatsu. Some other artists I like are Shy'm, Chihiro Onitsuka, Alexandros, Perfume and Superfly.

If you'd like to have an inspiration about what to send to me, I'll give a list about some things that would come to my mind when I think about things I'd like to receive. :)

- landscapes (everything from lowlands to mountains)
- city views (e.g. New York, Tokyo, Osaka, Kansas City, Paris, Barcelona, Beijing, London, etc.)
- rural regions and villages
- (historical) sights
- something that you think represents your country or its culture
- festivals in your region/country
- special events like the Olympic Games, Soccer World Cup
- mascots
- castles, mansions
- shrines, temples

However, these are just some suggestions and of course you can send me something else if you want to.

I leave it up to you if you put the card in an envelope or not. I think both is alright but of course the envelope has the advantage that you don't need to write the address on the card itself and therefore you can write me a longer message which I always appreciate. ;)

I took my profile picture in the Japanese garden next to Sunpu Castle in the city of Shizuoka in March 2016.

I'm looking forward to all of your cards! :D

Best regards,
Tim
