About Emily...

I have been Postcrossing for about two years now, and I think it's one of the greatest things I have ever discovered!

I am a married, stay-at-home mom to two small boys, ages 7 and 3, so sending and receiving postcards has been a wonderful way for me to interact with the outside world. I love learning about other people's lives, countries, and customs! It has also sparked my interest in collecting postcards and stamps!

Before I had children, I worked in public and school libraries. I still spend a lot of time in libraries, just as a patron. :)

I enjoy reading, writing, keeping a journal, scrapbooking, listening to music (mainly alternative, indie, and classic rock), watching documentaries, being outdoors, trying a variety of foods, exercising, and crafting. I also try to be frugal, since my husband and I are living on one income at the moment. I enjoy the challenge of making our money stretch.

My dream is to be a published writer of poetry and/or young adult fiction. I am currently writing a personal zine. Writing has always been a comfort and a joy to me, which is yet another reason I love Postcrossing!

My favorite part about Postcrossing is receiving cards that have a lot of personality. I would love to know more about you! Favorite songs, pastimes, quotes, what you did that day, what you ate, your greatest wish...

As for the actual postcards, I would like any that you choose, but I would love cards that have to do with your likes or location, your local cuisine, books, reading, writing, diaries, anything fitness related (yoga, running, hiking, etc.) or libraries. I am also very interested in maxicards and Gotochi cards!

Other interests include: rock music (my favorite band is Nirvana), Pirates of the Caribbean, Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the Prairie,Jane Austen, the Bronte Sisters, purses, meditation, crystals, and/or anything spiritual.

My sons would be thrilled to see cards with trains, cartoons, comics, Thomas the Tank Engine, Transformers, Curious George, Star Wars, Robots, Legos, Blocks, the Polar Express, Five Nights at Freddy's, Minions, and Halloween images (ghosts, witches, etc.).

My husband loves knives, guitars, grilling, and cooking, so those would be cool, too!

It would also be neat to get the following cards during the months below, but again, I would be happy with anything you send!!! :)

July: Birthday cards for me and/or my 7 year old. He will be 8 in 2019.
October: Halloween cards, or anything with a spooky theme.
December: Christmas cards
January: Birthday cards for my 3 year old. He will be 4 in 2019.

Happy Postcrossing!:)
