Hello!

My name is Amy. I am 42 years old and live with my 11 year old son in the Shenandoah Valley in the state of Virginia.

I work for a non-profit company rescuing old books. We sort through literally tons of book donations and sell them either in our shop or online. Proceeds benefit relief efforts around the world. Whatever is not sellable, we recycle.

My favorite part of what I do is finding ephemera tucked away inside the pages of old books. I have found old love letters, movie tickets, money, valentines, bills, pieces of scrap material, leaves, flowers....it's amazing and just like a treasure hunt!

I like postcards that are made from random and found things....old ephemera, music sheets, vintage postcards or bookmarks, things of that sort.

I also like treehouses, books (!), old illustrations, elephants, found objects, The Little Prince, children's art, old cameras, thistles, Scrabble, sunrises, libraries, old flying machines, rivers, the vintage circus, abandoned houses, music, rain, doorknobs, mermaids, Diane Arbus, Sally Mann, the sea, Doctor Who! (David Tennant is my Doctor!), Totoro and all Hayao Miyazaki!
