About Ilya...

Hi there! Privet!

My name is Ilya. I was born in Riga, Latvia but live in Moscow, Russia for a long time (almost all my life). I am married and have a son. Two things I like most are computers and photography.

As for computers, I've got my first one when I was only 8 years old. And since that time I can't imagine myself without computers, networks, Internet, gadgets and so on. I've got the master's degree in computer sciences, worked as a trainer for authorized courses of some big vendors and now work in IT area in a bank here in Moscow.

"What a boring story, he's just another computer geek" you can probably think after reading this text. :) Well, maybe. Tastes differ. For me it's fun. But of course, working in IT I have to do some boring things, as everybody probably has to. And sometimes I feel myself like being in the "Groundhog day" movie.
Fortunately, approximately 6 years ago I've found a really cool way to escape from boring stuff, to have fun and to express myself.
Photography! I love it, especially making photos of people. Emotive and expressive portraits, creative fashion and glamorous photos, and beautiful and natural nu.
Can't say that I'm a great photographer, no-no! But it's a big fun anyway. Thanks to this hobby I've met so many interesting and creative people!

My wife is a big fan of horses and quite good in dressage. So we even have our own horse Elsi. :)

If you are a photographer, I will appreciate a postcard with one of photos made by you! If you are not, I would be happy to get any postcard that you want to send me. Be creative!
If you still doubt what to send, here are some hints:
- people photography (romantic, fashion, pin-up, dance, etc);
- anime;
- something interesting about your country (I would be happier if it would be not an ordinary touristic card but something depicting the soul of your country or people).

Also I like to read something about a person who sends me a card. So please write something more than just "Hi! Happy postcrossing!". Tell me something interesting about yourself. For example, what happend to you today or yesterday. :)

Please don't send ads.
Please don't send multiple-view cards, they are usually dull.

Thank you for reading such a large intro! :)
Have a nice day and... happy postcrossing!

Ilya
