Heya! I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States, though I was born and spent my childhood in Riga, Latvia.

I work on computer security at Figma, where we make design software that helps people work on their projects together. In my free time, I ride my bicycle and study paper engineering—the design of 3D papercrafts, paper mechanisms, and pop-up cards.

I am fascinated by infrastructure—physical and virtual—that makes the world run, like the postal service, general aviation, payment rails, and the tax system. I once traveled to Washington DC just to visit the National Postal Museum, and it was absolutely worth it. I really like zoos, especially ones accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums, and would like to visit more of them.

I would be delighted to receive any postcard, whatever that means to you! If you write a poem on the front of a blank card, that's a postcard. If you cut a rectangle out of a box of your favorite breakfast cereal and put a stamp on that, that's a postcard too! If you have a really weird postcard that you haven't been able to find an appropriate recipient for, I promise I'll love it.

- zoos, aviaries, and aquariums
- penguins, cats (domestic or wild), and giraffes
- the colors pink and red
- museums
- infrastructure (bridges, train stations, airports, etc)
- maps, especially subway maps, and schematics
- signage
- reproductions of artwork
