Hello!

I am originally from Lincolnshire in England and now work in New Zealand as a Business Analyst. I love exploring new cultures and meeting new people, so I am very lucky to have lived and travelled widely in the United States, Japan, Ireland, Singapore and now Australasia.

I enjoy haiku poetry and love to write my own haiku about the picture on each postcard I send for Postcrossing. You can see some examples on my Tumblr page: http://haikupostcard.tumblr.com/

I am grateful for every card I receive, but here are a few suggestions of what I prefer:
* weird, crazy, silly cards
* odd, unusual, quirky cards
* rude or risque cards
* pictures that tell a story
* paintings or works of art
* bold designs, patterns or textures
* landscapes and wild scenery
* trees
* wildflowers (not cultivated garden flowers like roses, though!)
* Japanese culture

Please do write something on the back. If you need inspiration, feel free to tell me why you chose this card for me, what you like about it, or something about your own interests and passions.

I would be very happy if you wanted to write a haiku on your postcard! It could be one you made up, about the picture on the card, or about something entirely unrelated. Or you could copy out your favourite haiku from another person.

I would prefer not to receive postcards in envelopes or 'tourist' cards with lots of small pictures.

However, please send what you can. I appreciate everything I get sent, and connecting with people all over the world.
