About Eddy...

Hi,

I am a librarian/knowledge manager.
I live in Amiens, a city midway from Paris and Lille (around 90 miles north of the French capital).

---

Not only is Picardy renowned for its roses, but World World I has also seeded battle fields cemeteries all over the agrarian prairies.

Our Lady of Amiens is part of The Unesco World Heritage. Unesco has also ranked our belfry.

Here and then, I may send postcards from places I come to visit in France or elsewhere.

If any special things are needed as city maps, train time tables or recipes, French ones for instance, please do feel free to request what you are in search of.

---

I am also webmaster of an Internet site that recounts the everyday life and history of my area/district, Etouvie (http://www.etouvie.fr).
This is an utterly never seen before and unique experience for so suburban an area.

Lately, I came to discover mangas and I must confess I enjoy this kind of literature. I have immersed myself into the pages of Spirit of the Sun, Zipang and Eagle, series created by Kaiji Kawaguchi.
Strong emotions also welled up reading Osamu Tezuka, Kazuo Umezu and Jirô Taniguchi.

Since a few months I have been learning Japanese and I do admit this language is far much easier than thought.

Please, will you allow me to encourage you to use Linux as OS (Debian, Ubuntu (built for the man in the street), Suse, Gentoo, to name but a few, different packagings but the same powerfull and fast core.

A last word to say, I indulge myself with Bookcrossing too.

Nordic walking, hiking, biking are also parts of my hobbies.

Thank you.
