About Sandra...

I love to travel and see the world, but postcards are easier to afford than plane tickets. :-)

I had my darling daughter in 2021 and she loves getting mail, so assume anything you send will be enjoyed by a toddler. If you'd like to send anything a kid would enjoy seeing, that would be delightful! Also, if you have any interest in sending us a book title that we could read together, that would be wonderful. I would also be delighted to do a children's book exchange with you! Some of her favorite things are owls, the Moon, planes, Bluey, hippos, turtles, and cats.

My hobbies include playing piano, listening to music, reading, cooking, learning, and quilting. I have a cat named Maia, so I love animals as well.

I like the following cards best:
- native animals or plants (this is a big favorite)
- animals: I adore birds, especially birds native to your region; I also like goats, squirrels (and other rodents), whales or marine animals, deer/antelope, and pets like dogs, cats, rabbits, etc. My grandma's favorite birds are puffins, quail, titmice, and chickadees, so any of those would be most welcome too. I miss her.
- historical or natural places in your region
- tea and food (bread, desserts, snacks)
- books or people reading books
- nature, weather, rocks, stones, beaches and the ocean
- postcards you have from other countries--maybe someone sent them to you or you have them left over from old vacations. Just write me a cool message on the back, maybe tell me why you have it, and I'll love it!
- art (paintings, sketches, black and white photography, Art Nouveau, Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, etc.)
- music and instruments
- royalty or heads of state
- fantasy / sci-fi

If you don't know what to write, here are some ideas:
- your favorite vacation
- what you wanted to be when you grew up and what you became
- a book you love (even a kid's book)
- a quote from a book you like
- a poem you enjoy (at least part of it or a title)
- a list of anything--three things you saw today, your favorite foods, your top songs, your favorite works of art, and anything else besides!

***ABOVE ALL, PLEASE REMEMBER TO WRITE THE POSTCARD ID ON THE CARD! I have received many cards without ID numbers on them. They have always been found in the system, but it is much easier to have it written there for me. THANK YOU!***

I look forward to hearing from you!
