About Duarte...

Olá fellow postcrosser, welcome to my profile

I’m Duarte, graduated in Management and currently working in a french IT multinational as a consultant.

I’m from a small town called Castro Verde, in the south of Portugal, in the region called Alentejo. People from here (the “alentejanos”) are very patient, like to make humour and laugh about themselves. They like good food, good wine and long naps :D

I like to write, so postcrossing was the perfect thing to join.
I like photography, to be amazed at beautiful photos of nature, architecture, people from all over the world, historical photos, ethnic one’s...a bit of everything really!

If you’re out of ideas for a postcard to send me, here are some:

- Royal Families of the World (to my UK/Commonwealth realm friends, postcards of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II or His Majesty Charles III upon coronation);
- B&W;
- Pin up, beautiful woman portraits;
- Old pictures of people, historical moments, events, famous people;
- Landscapes, mountains, lakes, glaciers…and uncommon animals (not the household animals);
- Monuments, architecture in general;
- People dressed in folk costumes, traditions, festivities;
…but of course, all postcards will be equally appreciated!

Sometimes it may take a while since I press the button "Send a postcard" until I really send it. But don't you worry, that's because I'm trying to get the perfect postcard for you! I challenge myself to write something important to me, and at the same to be meaningful for you. Postcrossing is a nice tool to make friends and to bring people together, so I intend to do that as long I'm here.

Some fellow taiwanese friends (that I made with Postcrossing) decided to visit me February '19, and I show them a bit of my country. That was an amazing experience!

So, tell me something about you, your daily routine, traditions and festivities in your country, little curiosities that I might enjoy, feel free to write anything, I want your postcard to be meaningful to me as to you! I will look forward to it!

P.S.: I have a small writting, so if you don't understand something, message me, because I keep all the content of the postcard ;)

Feel free to add me on Instagram, I put there essencially photos of my country ;)

Sincerely
Duarte
