About us ( Wiktoria, Lena, Alicja, Julia, Igor, Miłosz )
We are a group of eleven-year-old students who attend Primary School No 36 of Polish Olympians. This year we are taking part in extracurricular classes with our teacher - Ms Dorota Pietruszewska and we are exchanging postcards as a school project. We think it will become our big passion. We are curious about other cultures and places all over the world. We all love learning about foreign customs and traditions.
We are planning to make a school display of postcards which we will receive till June 2020 and mark the places from which we will get postcards on the map. It will be a fantastic lesson of Geography and Foreign Language not only for us but also for other pupils from our school.
We all live in Częstochowa. It is a city in southern Poland, located in the Cracow - Częstochowa Upland. The city is known for the famous Pauline Monastery of Jasna Góra, which is the home of the Black Madonna painting. Every year, millions of pilgrims from all over the world come to our city to see it.
Our interests are similar to the interests of children our age.
Wiktoria :
In my spare time I read books. My big passion is cooking. I love animals, mostly dogs, hamsters and rabbits.
Lena:
In my free time I read books and play computer games. My favourite animals are cats. Unfortunatelly I haven’t got a cat but I have got a hamster. Its name is Lola. I like drawing and I am a big fan of K-POP. My favourite bands are Blackpink and BTS. When I was younger I was a member of a dance group.
Alicja:
I am keen on rollerblading. I like animals, especially dogs and hamsters. My favourite school subjects are Art and Music.
Julia:
I love reading books. My favourite ones are “On the trail of magic” (Na tropie magii) and “The island X” by Maria Krasowska. She is a writer and a youtuber. My dream is going to an international book fair in Cracow.
Igor:
I am interested in football. I collect football cards and models of old cars. I like animals, especially dogs. My favourite school subjects are Maths and Biology.

Miłosz:
In my free time I like meeting my friends, reading books ( especially fantasy and adventure ones ) and playing football. I am a huge FIFA fan. I often play FIFA career mode. What is more, I like Music and I take piano lessons every week.
We also enjoy doing voluntary work- we raise funds and food for dogs and cats in the animal shelter, help the people who are in need or who suffer from various diseases. Last year, for example, we collected food and cleaning supplies for sick children aged 0-3 who are orphans.
