My name is Doortje, the same as my grandmother. I am also a grandmother, since five years. We have five grandchildren since January 2017!
Since about 2 years I am at home ("pensioen" = Dutch name for retirement).
Before I was a teacher at a school for children with some developing-arrears. I enjoy this job very much during 25 years.
Nowadays I am happy with my husband and our dog. We enjoy walking along the river "Maas". We enjoy nature; every day we see some lovely things!
My hobby ´s: knitting, sewing and collecting stamps and books. The books (I have read) go in a little bookcase on the street.
We like to travel in Europe and some 3 or 4 years a "far-away country". We were in America (Chicago), Maleisie, Bali and Lombok.
My darling-animal is the moose (from our beloved Scandinavia), the donkey and of course the dog.
My favourite colour is green!

March 1th 2017: my lovely dog Smirre has died.
July 5th 2017: we have a dog again! Three months old puppy, called Sigge.
