I live in a small Ural town, Kushva. The ancient ridge of the Urals Mountains stretching for two thousand kilometres presents a natural boundary between Europe and Asia. Our mountains are also called the Stone Belt.
Kushva is an old industrial town situated in the north of the Urals. It was founded in 1735. There was a very interesting legend that many years ago the settler Stepan Chumpin found the iron ore deposit in the place our town stands now.
I'm a teacher of English and French at a secondary school. I've become a postcrosser to motivate my students to learn English and now I enjoy it very much.
I'm keen on studying English, travelling and reading books and magazines in Russian and English. I'm also fond of gardening and knitting.
I would be very glad to receive any postcard from any country, but I would be happy to receive a postcard somehow related to the country, city, town you live in or any English-speaking country: the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or India.
