My aunt Dorothy passed away on November 1st, 2010, after several years living with Alzheimers Disease. Postcrossing was a happy part of her days, and she shared her postcards with her housemates at the nursing home where she lived her final years.
We decided to continue Postcrossing for the residents of Dorothy's nursing home, since they love seeing mail from all around the world -- please tell them about yourself, and send any colorful card from your country -- they will love it!
And if you don't know what to write, just say "may your days be filled with love and light, and may your nights be peaceful"... or any similar good words for the elderly.
If you'd like to send a private postcard, you may address it to:
Friends of Dorothy
854 Lettuce Lane
Las Cruces, New Mexico
United States of America
NOTE: If you send a postcard and would like one in return, please also send an email message with your mailing address. Sometimes cards get lost in the nursing home... Residents love them so much!
