About Dan...

I discovered Postcrossing while looking for postcard exchange programs for my students. I used to teach elementary students English as a Second Language (ESL). I retired in June of 2016.
I love to travel, taught high school for a year in the Marshall Islands, and have a sister that lived in Australia for nearly 50 years. Have informally been collecting postcards I've received since I was a child.
I was born and raised in the beautiful city of San Diego, California. Currently I live in the greater Los Angeles area. I feel fortunate to easily visit the original amusement park that Walt Disney built - Disneyland. Ask me any Disney questions or advice inquiries you might have!
I have been married to my college sweetheart since 1981. We have two children, a boy born in 1991 and a girl born in 1994. My son just completed his PhD in Marine Biology at Stanford University, and my daughter recently received her Master's Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Washington.

I welcome any postcard you choose for me, but I do especially enjoy:
Trains...trams...subways...monorails...gondolas, etc!

[For those from the US - Your state capitol or "Greetings from (name of state)"]
I don't mind if you send the card in an envelope. I find that when I send envelopes I can be much more creative with my use of postage stamps!

PS: If you don't mind, please consider writing your postcrossing user name on the postcard you send to me. Then I can have a look at your profile before I respond during registration.
