14 June 2022. My 4000th sent card has been registered.

After nearly 11 years of Postcrossing I have again updated my avatar. The new avatar, a selfie, shows me, aged 78, with Salty, my miniature schnauzer, (female), aged 11.

I am updating my profile, listing 6 "likes".

I like Reading, and I always have a book with me, at home and when travelling.

I like Walking, as a pleasant way to keep active and fit.

I like all Nature; plants, flowers, trees, birds, mammals, insects, arachnids, reptiles, and fish.

I like everything concerning Railways; train journeys, stations, timetables, tickets, metro systems, heritage railways, and model trains.

I like Travel; finding new places to explore.

And of course I like Postcrossing; exchanging friendly greetings all around the world. I like all cards, all subjects, including handmade cards.

I am retired. I have been married to Anna since 23 August 1974. Anna is Dutch. We have two children and four grandchildren.

I always register postcards on the day received or on the day after at the latest. If I have not registered your postcard within about 40 days please send me a private message and we can always sort it out. When I obtain an address I send a postcard very promptly.

I attempt to get a card to all addressees by sending a second or even a third card. I try hard! With 4000 sent cards registered, only 25 other cards have been deleted: (only 0.6%!) It is very disappointing to send a card to an account which is left open, but not used or looked at.

Special notes: On 13/02/2019 I received a postcard TW-2344036 from Sandy of Taiwan, but it has taken over a year and cannot be registered.
Also on 23/08/2021 I received a postcard TW-3015469 from Peilin of Taiwan which has taken over a year and cannot be registered.
On 08/09/2021 I received a postcard FR-1383872 which I cannot register as the sender is no longer participating in Postcrossing.
