Palm Desert, California is my home. We raise date palms and dates. Two of my four grandchildren live on the ranch, one attending UCLA. The other two live in Santa Barbara, CA and are also college students. I have a dog named Greta, an Entlebucher, a Swiss Mountain dog. I love playing bridge and am attempting to raise as much of our food as possible. It's amazing with our almost 365 days of sunshine how many things grow here.
The only problem with Palm Desert is that it's very hot in the summer months, like 110 and even up to 120 degrees F last summer....like a furnace! So we take a long vacation....usually to Santa Barbara.
I have done many things in my life starting with teaching school, then a mother, then owning an advertising company, then living in Germany for ten years, Augsburg, Berlin and Ulm and I speak German. I am happy to be back in the US with my family and warm winters.
I think sending these postcards may help to have a world understand and peace and help people realize that we are all down deep pretty similar, with like hopes for ourselves, our family and our countries.
