I have been collecting postcards for over 40 years, have over 60,000, and belong to Metropolitan Postcard Club in NYC. I have an apartment in New York City but spend more time in Montauk NY on the tip of Long island where my husband and I have a tiny but wonderful cottage.

I collect topics: mainly humor and sociological/anthropological/cultural that are unusual OR very indicative of a region, city, or country. Albums I have exhibited have been kilts, milk, recipes, condoms, knitting propaganda, pig propaganda, scatological propaganda, “off the ground,” pee-ers, juxtapositions. Now I am working on Adam & Eve, nude beaches (NOT erotic), good grooming, and non-combat military. I am not a big fan of multi-view cards although some are great. (I just got a multi-view of nude skydivers that was a wonderful addition to my album.)

When I travel I I buy local cards to supplement my photos and put both in albums. In the good old days I used to buy 200 a week. Now I’m lucky if I find 20. So I hope everyone joins and helps to bring back the postcard industry.

I would be very happy if you wrote back in your native language instead of English so I can practice foreign languages.
