Welcome to my profile!

My name is Daria and I’m 22.
I started this hobby with my dad when I was in high school. Besides improving my English skills, I enjoyed choosing, sending and receiving postcards with my dad. We would always sit together next to our laptop and discuss every profile after reading it and what postcard to choose.

Two years ago I moved to the USA and got married. Now I live with my husband and our husky puppy Pickles in our house in Florida, USA. Even though my dad and I are very far away from each other right now, we are still trying to keep our little tradition going. My dad is the one who is receiving and scanning postcards so I can register them later. Although my dad doesn’t really know English, he is also the one who is sending postcards from Russia and I think he is doing a great job! I’m very proud of him and very very grateful to him.

Some words about things I like to do.
In my free time I prefer watching films (especially old American comedies), listening to music (groups like Hurts and Adele) or reading books, which is my favourite pastime. I think it`s so cozy to sit down on the sofa with a cup of hot chocolate and read a book, which has an unpredictable plot.

My parents and I love travelling around the world. I`ve already visited a lot of countries. As for me, traveling is a useful thing. It`s always interesting to visit a new place for the first time because there you can discover new things, different ways of life, meet different people, try different food or listen to new musical rhythms. The longest distance from my home to another place which I`ve ever done was to Tokyo.

I`ve started learning Japanese so I`ll be more than happy to get a postcard written in Japanese! ありがとうございました。
