I am a part time 4-H Youth Educator. I have a Master's degree in Crop and Soil Science, and have competed on horseback in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. I love summertime, travel, languages, geocaching, regional foods, and anything that makes me laugh. I like getting outdoors and am really trying hard to take up running as a hobby. My passion is discovering new things!

My county in Virginia is famous for being George Washington's childhood home. But I have yet to visit the location his house once stood. American Civil War history surrounds us, and I enjoy the many stories and monuments nearby. Of course, Washington DC is just half an hour's drive north and has some great sites, as well. Many of our area's residents work there, and some others work at Quantico Marine Base adjacent.
