Hello! Hallo! Hola! Γεια!

I am a Greek girl, my name’s Dimitra, born and raised in Greece. This account has been inactive for many years, mainly because I moved back again to my hometown from Germany and after that, well, a pandemic hit the whole world. I needed a pause. So here I am now, ready again to send and then to receive a postcard from someone out there.

I love life and all the good things about it as art, books, animals, music, traveling, retro clothes, vintage things, meeting new cultures! Space, stars and universe in general always captivated me, to learn more or dream of hidden distant worlds in it. Moreover, I love the oceans, I think the underwater worlds are the closest equivalent to the outer space we have on Earth. They are mostly undiscovered silent, dark and deep places; so secretly there in the deep blue sea weird creatures live in a totally different world from the one we know. Yet, in the same planet!

I’m really curious about this world & that’s also a reason I joined Postcrossing, I’m curious to see different places from around the globe! This is another way to travel through postcards and meet other people’s culture.

I don’t have specific requests regarding your postcard. I am so excited to be a part of this, that I don’t mind the postcard theme, I’m sure that each one I will receive is going to be a surprise in my mailbox.

A map, a monument, historic places, a lighthouse, people, the sea, forests, colors, carousels, or vintagey retro style postcards; everything would be nice to see!
I love anime, of course studio Ghibli movies are some of my favorites!
Please if possible, don’t send me AD postcards, unless they are from a movie, a book, a theater play, a band you like or an art gallery/ museum, I like those!

Write me a couple of things about you, or your country/ place you live, a phrase from your favorite book, song, or just in your mother tongue (if it’s not English) would also be great to see! Feel free to write to me also in the languages I already speak, if you fancy that.
