I love learning languages. Nowadays, I'm collecting idiomatic expressions and proverbs from all over the world. This is my fun project so please help me with some interesting expressions.

For example, <<A baker’s dozen>> means thirteen. Bakers often added an extra item to an order for a dozen.

<<über Stock und Stein>> means rough and tumble in German. The literal translation is to go over stump and stone.
