About christoffel...

It's very nice to receive surprise postcards! I'm always happy when I open my mailbox, and I find a postcard in it. That really makes my day!

If you're reading my profile to figure out what kind of card to send me, rest assured: I'm happy with any kind of card you sent me! (But I have a few suggestions at the bottom of my profile, if you need them.)

I'm female, 30 years young, and work as an office manager. I live in the northern part of the Netherlands, in a quiet part of town. I really like it here!

I like books, so I'm a member of Bookcrossing, too! Here is a link to my bookshelf: - If you like to exchange books as well, you might find that community interesting, too.

Another online community I spend a lot of my time, is DMOZ:
This is an international webdirectory, where you'll find more than 5 million interesting websites in almost all languages of the world, hand-picked by many volunteers, about almost every subject you can think of! And if you think of a great site that isn't listed, you can suggest it to be included.
Like postcrossing, this is a very international community, and I have learned a lot about other cultures there.

Besides exchanging postcards, reading books, and describing websites, I do a lot of volunteer work: I give computer lessons to elderly people, write for our community newspaper, and do all kind of things for the political party I'm a member of. When I was young, I loved horseback riding, but unfortunately I don't have time for that any more.

Suggestions for cards:

If you already thought of a nice card for me by reading my profile above, please stop reading now, and ignore the part below. Because what I mostly like, is a surprise! So don't stretch yourself to get me a postcard as I am describing below. These are really only suggestions!!!

I really like tourist cards from your city or village. If you don't know what to write on your card to me, write something about the place you live, and what you like (or don't like) about your place.
Nature views or city views are very nice!

I also like nature cards, especially with animals on them. Specifically cards with animals living in the wild (as opposed to pets). So if you have a card with for example a lion, elephant, or tiger: think of me!

If you're from the USA, when you have a card with president Obama on it, that would be so cool to receive! So if you have any campaign cards laying around (or anything with his picture), that would be awesome!

Nice stamps on a cool postcard are always appreciated...
