About Gijs...

Hi all,

I live in a relative small village in the south of the Netherlands.
I am a happily married to a French woman, who I met in 2014. We have a son who is born in May 2016 named Ethan, and he is the cutest kid ever (I know, everyone says this about there kid :D )

I worked from 2004 until 2016 in the same company, providing computer support to medical personell. Because of reorganisation I had to leave, but have found a new job doing the same thing in a different company, where I still work.

I started postcrossing because I saw a former colleague posting about it, and got interested in it myself.

Growing up I started to get more and more interested in music, TV shows and reading books.
I loved shows like The X-files, Rescue 911 etc.
Later shows like Buffy, Charmed and almost all Star Trek series.

Regarding music I love almost all kinds, from classical to metal, you will find it all in my CD & Vinyl collection.

Things I like:

- Reading, usually Thrillers, Science Fiction, but an occasional romance novel can be found on my nightstand from time to time.

- Watching TV series/movies, basically in the same genres as with books.

- Spending time with my family, watching my nephews and nieces grow up, and how my son interacts with them is beautiful sight.

- I like seeing different countries, I prefer more nature like vacations. Norway and Canada have been my favorite countries I've visited so far.
The south of France is beautiful too, love the sight of the hills and country sides there.

- As said above, I loved music growing up, and I still love music, and almost all genres. But my favorite are the real 80's sound, albums like Bat out of Hell are stuck in my car most of the time.

I prefer to receive cards that show local things, specific to the area/city where you live, but any card is more then welcome.
So any card that shows beautiful buildings, or landscape/nature from your city/area are more then welcome.

Please write some words in your native language on the card, love to see other languages.
