About Carolin...
Hi there!
I'm Carolin, and I live in a small but surprisingly vibrant city in the state of Thuringia with my toddler son.
I always loved writing (and, of course, receiving ;--) ) letters and cards. I love to travel and to get to know interesting places and meet lovely people from all over the planet.
Moreover, I love animals and like to spend time in nature and doing yoga if I can. I'm interested in sustainable building and buildings with history, and I would like to learn new skills such as carpentry, learning how to play the piano and the ukulele, or to sew. I would love to go canoeing and rock climbing again.
My wishlist would be:
- Icelandic horses
- Manta rays or stingrays
- Underwater pictures of who and what is living in the seas
- Baobabs or other beautiful trees
- Panorama pictures of landscapes
- A postcard from Yann Arthus Bertrand's series "Earth from above"
- Earth & space
- Interesting patterns
- Silhouettes and shadows
- Black and white
- Illustrations, artist cards or self-made
- Art nouveau (Jugendstil) in arts and especially architecture
- A card that tells about the culture of your region
- Old postcards (from the 1980s and older)
- Old maps
- Architectural details like doors, doorknobs, windows or stairs
- Buildings
- Ruins
- Vintage cars and motorbikes
- Veeeery ugly postcards ;-)
- Funny postcards (with translation, if necessary)
- Ordinary people
Otherwise: Just pick a postcard that YOU would be happy about to receive yourself - diversity is what makes life interesting! :-) If you have a special stamp, I will appreciate it, since I like to collect them.
I'm curious to hear about why you sent me exactly THIS postcard;
about the thoughts you've had today, something interesting you have learned yesterday, what you like, a poem, the lyrics of a song, a book recommendation, a yummy recipe, what your city or life is like, what you would like to learn, what plans you have for the upcoming months, what you have laughed about recently - anything about yourself you would like to share with me! :-)
I'm looking forward to be crossing all kinds of kind people from all over the planet, and I'm already curious about the postcard that you are going to send me! :-)
Carolin
P.S. : I got this link from another postcrosser and think it's a good idea: "When you are going to send a card to me, look at this site : www.sendkidstheworld.com - you can also send a card to one of the sick children to brighten their day. (the best would be copying this website on your profile to let more people know this !)"
