Hiya!

I'm Ron! I come from Chełm, Poland, but I've been living in England for a few years now. I took a gap year in Lancaster, but then I moved to Sheffield to study zoology at the University of Sheffield. I'm currently repeating my second year, enjoying my course enormously! I'm particularly interested in ecology & conservation and animal behaviour.

I'm absolutely obsessed with nature! I spend my free time reading about natural history and learning about the planet's huge biodiversity. My appreciation and fascination with it also make me incredibly passionate about combating climate change, biodiversity loss and other environmental problems. So I volunteer for conservation organisations among others, doing practical work, litter picking, surveying, etc. I've been also ringing (banding) birds for over 2 years! Apart from that, I enjoy walking, birdwatching and biological recording. I'm a big fan of any creative expression and art, so I also like going to museums and art galleries. Whenever possible, I try to do some arts & crafts myself, mainly in my scrapbook, but I'd like to get into digital illustration.

I am also keen on travelling and learning about different cultures and the world!

As you can imagine, I'm also an avid environmentalist, vegan and activist. I try to live a low-waste lifestyle as much as it is possible.

Feel free to send me any postcard you would like - each one is very welcome! If you haven't a clue what to mail, here are some tips - I really like postcards showing:
- nature: flowers, animals, as well as landscapes, nature reserves and other green spaces,
- your country, town/city,
- art (especially paintings, architecture).

I would love to hear about where you live and your local wildlife!

Since I struggle with my mental health, I also appreciate positive, uplifting and hopeful stories :)
